Lake of the Woods Marina & Service Centre Ltd. is proud to have been awarded the City of Kenora contract for Coney Island Beach operations and concession. As we step into this role, we do so with deep respect for the history of the island and the people who helped shape it. We would like to recognize Jennifer Schott and her family for their many years of dedication and care. Their contribution created lasting memories for generations of visitors, and their impact will always remain part of Coney Island’s story.
Coney Island is more than just a destination. It is a cherished community space where traditions are built and summer memories are shared. Our commitment is to honour what makes this place special while thoughtfully enhancing the overall experience. We are focused on maintaining the spirit of the island while introducing improvements that benefit families, visitors, and the broader community.
In the seasons ahead, guests can expect an enhanced concession with expanded fresh food and snack options, improved access through continued shuttle service and stronger connections to the marina, and a heightened standard of cleanliness with daily maintenance and proactive care. We are also excited to introduce new programming, including outdoor movie nights, family-friendly activities, beach games, and expanded water experiences through Green Adventures such as kayak and paddleboard rentals.
Services & offerings will include:

● Daily shuttle service to and from Coney Island
● Kayak and paddleboard rentals and guided water experiences
● Family-friendly programming, events, and outdoor movie nights
● Daily beach maintenance, cleaning, and washroom servicing
● Convenience items available on-site for visitors and boaters
